Our code of ethics begins with the Rules of Washington State Courts as our foundation, but our experience over the years has helped us craft an additional set of ethical guidelines that instill confidence and credibility in the minds of our clients:

• EcoStar Law shall engage in activities that benefit its clients and the legal profession.

• EcoStar Law shall engage in activities that comply with its fiduciary, ethical and legal obligations to its clients and legal profession.

• EcoStar Law shall effectively disclose all potential and actual conflicts of interest.

• EcoStar Law shall not exploit any relationship with a client for the benefit its own benefit or that of entities or individuals associated with EcoStar Law.

• EcoStar Law shall comply with all applicable local, state, provincial and federal civil and criminal laws.

• EcoStar Law recognizes its individual boundaries of competence and shall be forthcoming and truthful about its professional experience and qualifications of expertise and will represent their achievements accurately and without exaggeration.

• EcoStar Law shall present and supply services honestly and without misrepresentation and will clearly identify the details of those services and other factors that may affect the suitability of the services for its clients.

• EcoStar Law shall establish the nature and purpose of any contractual relationship at the outset and will be responsive and available to its clients.

• EcoStar Law shall protect the confidentiality of all privileged information relating to the client relationships.

• EcoStar Law shall adhere to the principle that all information created by, or on behalf of, a client is the property of that client and shall not be transferred or utilized except on behalf of that client without the prior express written permission of that client.

• EcoStar Law shall give clients the opportunity to have their names removed from its regular mailings, including emails and newsletters.
