Mr. Beaujangles was named after the song Mr. Bojangles, where the protagonist and his dog toured the South for 20 years, then one day the dog passed away and 15 years later the caretaker still grieved. 

Beau-Beau or Beau, as he is affectionately known, was born on March 10, 2002.  He is an active and mischievious 7-year old.  He has an affinity for getting into trouble and getting his nose where it ought not be.  He loves to be chased by other dogs, but doesn’t understand that barking at them is impolite. 

Like his “brother”, Scooter, Beau is particularly fond of vanilla ice cream (is it Dairy Queen time?) though he is really partial to all foods.   Beau graduated from River Dog Training School with his good canine citizenship certificate in 2002 after impatiently putting up with interminable training classes.

Because he effortless melds in with the darkness, Beau can be seen at night wearing his LED flashing blue collar (though often all you see is the flash of the collar).  Beau is happy to be part of the pack but wishes Jean-Pierre would go to Dairy Queen more often.
